Speaker 1 (0s): You know, I love America now. I know we are divided half the time. We got a lot of problems in America. but I still love this country because let me tell you, yesterday was Halloween. You go from trick or treating to, you know, Mariah Carey season. I'm like, so my daughter was having fun.

She was not celebrating dead or evil or anything like that. She was having fun with her friends, wearing a costume. Sorry, I got a lot going on here. And so I let her hang out with some friends in, in a different neighborhood. Although where I am was, was was entertaining too. And on the way there I'm looking, I'm like, that's a full on naivity scene. I mean, I was feeling like, you know, joy to the, the Lord is calm.

Like that's just where I was at with it. Don't judge my singing. It's still early in the morning. The vocal chords aren't warmed up. Me, me, me, me, me. So they have a Naivity scene out on my left and Christmas lights on the right and we're on our way to, well I was dropping her off. So I went only like a handful of minutes away from the house about maybe seven minutes from the house, six, something like that. People had fire pits outside, you know, in this other neighborhood.

They were getting it in. When I say they were getting it in, I mean the way they were throwing down, I mean they were set up. Everyone's outside. They've got their tables, they've got their, I would presume adult libation. There's a lot going on yesterday. But I was just like, oh, in America where we could have the kids go have some fun, the parents were like, we're having fun too. You got Halloween here, you got Jesus here. You got like, what is going on?

Nevertheless, I'm a big fan of, now that it's November one, I will be out making sure at some point that my house looks more Christmas. Like I don't put up Halloween crap. I'm not into that but, but I don't care if people are upset. I know a lot of people get upset about Christmas coming early and I, I always tell people, how can you not be happy about the holiday season? I'm like, they're like, oh it was just a commercial. I'm like, well they don't participate in the commercial part of it.

The people are genuinely or generally happier during that time and they usually are nicer to people. At least that has been my collection of experiences. So I'm like, oh sorry I took an allergy pill. You could tell this weather change back and forth is killing me. So I'm waiting for this allergy pill to kick in Lovely. So I can not have to keep up my nose and rub my eyes 'cause now my eyes are watery.

but yeah, this is a time when people are typically nicer and happier. And so when people are like, oh I hate Christmas, I'm like, well what do you really hate? So if you don't want the do, if you don't wanna do the commercial part, don't do it. Don't, ugh, appreciate the season for what it is for. To celebrate my Jesus. Now with that being said, I was cracking up because I know this is gonna be like, how are you talking about Halloween and Jesus all in the same conversation because I can and I want to.

I was out last night. No I wasn't out. But last night when I had to go pick up my daughter, it the funniest thing, well I don't know if it was funny, but I'm watching, I'm looking at the kids. When I say kids, I'm talking about not the little ones. 'cause usually everywhere you go, little kids are out around like five 30 ish give or take and they're done early and then all of your figure kids are out and then you know, we stop right around eight.

It doesn't matter what community you're in, you stop at eight. And I love that how people basically, you know, they abide by that so that we can all get on with our lives, right? And so you stop at eight o'clock. But what was interesting about stopping at eight o'clock is the high school kids, I don't say even middle school, they don't stop milling around some of these neighborhoods because the neighborhoods are are neighborhood and I was people watching and I'm sitting here like, whose parents let so many of these girls out with some of these outfits?

I honestly thought some of the girls that were out in these streets were dressed up as prostitutes. I could not believe some of the outfits that I was seeing. So with that being sad, times have changed. Times have changed. You know, the, the middle schoolers for the most part were pretty good. They were appropriate, you know, for the most part anyway, like the high schoolers, I'm looking at these young ladies and these outfits that were questionable if you would even call an outfit.

I'm like, you really wore that out. And I think it didn't help that we had this weird heat wave where it was 80 during the day and like in the seventies at night, like you were on the east coast normally we're a lot colder here in November, which is why I'm all messed up right now with my eyes and my breathing and stuff like that. Because of the constant back and forth is just not doing well for me. I won't be right until we get to permanently like 30, 40 degrees outside and it'll be like prime breathing weather.

The best breathing of the year is usually right around like November to about maybe March and then I'm messed up. Gosh, But. anyway, so we went From Halloween to Christmas in this band of moments. Now let me tell you around where I am. See this is why you gotta live out in the country. So because everybody thinks that you don't get a lot when you're in the country. When you're in a country slash suburbs. See they throw down out here and I'm sure it's done in other areas too. But you know, you've got all kinds of things that are going on, people out in golf cart driving from place to place with their kids.

It is a whole situation. So what you'll find is people have to be very careful about driving because there's so many freaking kids and you don't think living in the area that we live in, that there are kids. Well, no, apparently we multiply like bunnies around here because there are a ilion children milling around. Now the interesting thing about this is we're getting ready to go into the holiday season, the Christmas season, my favorite time of the year, and we are going to seeing the shift in the homes.

And I love it because when so many people decorate, I don't know what it is. It's just so beautiful. Some of it's giving national lamp poons vacation with the, the garden is, but some of it's giving just outright like beautiful, stunning. And then I have some neighbor friends of mine, we like to drive around. We case the neighborhoods, we usually pick like a Sunday or a Tuesday. Don't ask, don't ask. We go get Roed up on our Starbucks and then we ride around for two hours and we look at the houses.

Sometimes we get our little hee-haw. We're like, you cannot make off white with white lights. Don't ask why we're so judgemental. But we love the whole process of it. I think the biggest thing is is just, it's just such a happy time. It's a beautiful time. I love it. Anyway, that's it. That's all I've got. It's kind of a lighthearted video. Mia, can y'all also tell your young ladies, you don't have to be hookers for Halloween. We don't need Halloween hookers. So I just wanted to throw that one out there.

And Joy to the World Heart, the Herald Angels sing and all that good stuff. Mariah Carey, season and pro. See that's a Mariah Carey version of Har the Harold Angel Sing. And that's all I got. Bye....
