Speaker 1 (0s): Good morning bows and bow ties. Okay, why does this look so small up here? I dunno what's happening. All right, for those of you who are new to my channel and the black of opinion native women, also known as a bow, having a decent good hair day, you know, okay, so look, this is not a well thought out discussion. I'm just yammering, so I'm just letting you know right now. Listen, you guys know I was on TikTok, right? Because I find TikTok to be hilarious when I have cycles, and I'm not sure if I've come on camera said this.

I, I think I put it on my TikTok. I briefly just alluded to the fact, like literally the, you can't save any everybody, because you know, Dr. Lamont Hill was on the Joe Button podcast, and the, the people who are typically on that panel, apparently, I don't even watch the show because the, I've seen clips in the past and I just found that if, if I watched that show, I I would be stupider for it. So I don't watch it. It's, it's just not something I'm really interested in, but they're going viral because there truly is a war on intellectualism.

Now, for those of you who've been on my channel for a period of time, you know, I have consistently discussed the importance of going to school, okay? I've talked about education, understanding systems, and understanding that they're all related, whether it's educational, medical, social, economical, computer, et cetera. Now, I've talked about how men who look like me are in the poorest performing demographic, right?

And, and, and this just, okay, let me just say this. Dr. Lamont, Dr. Mark Lamont Hill, I always mess up his name. I think it's Mark Lamont Hill, or is it Lamont? Mark Hill. Anyway, Dr. Lamont Hill, we'll just say Lamont Hill. Dr. Hill was on the Jill Button podcast, and there were several conversations that happened. One that went viral was on, I'm having to brain up just that point. I, I swear to goodness, I think I'm getting old. The other one was on when I guess there's a guy named Ish, was literally arguing with him about the earth being flat.

And then when, you know, he's being challenged by Dr. Hell, I was like, almost like, there's literally evidence. They're like, I don't believe that people went to the moon. I don't believe this. I don't believe that. And so he's like, there's a difference between saying, Hey, I, I don't believe there's people in another room. All right, you have a theory or whatever. Now I'm, I'm probably mixing two different viral points to please, excuse me, but he brought up examples. Like there's a difference between saying, I don't believe there's people in the other room and you have this theory and all this other stuff, right?

Because they, they were questioning scientific theories and all kinds of stuff. And then, you know, over time somebody gets up And they go in the room And they see that there's other people in the room. So then of course, now things change, right? You have evidence you put in there, you saw the people, maybe they hee-haw, whatever it is, and now you have evidence to disprove something, right? He was like, so the greats, there's all kinds of evidence out there and what was it we were talking about? But I know one of, one of the topics was about, and I know I'm all over the place, please forget, one of them was about like, he was like, well there's been doctors that you know about the whole COVID thing.

And he's just kind of like, you're literally, it was like he was mixing different things. Where I'm going with this was when they started arguing about like objective science and like scientists and everything else about the earth being round, being flat, whatever. And he's like, so they literally are outside of earth space shuttles and stuff like that. They're taking pictures or whatever people got from him and they're like, people don't wanna believe it. It doesn't matter.

And the more he tried to present facts, which tried to explain what a theory is versus all these other things, they were fighting him on it. And this is the reason why I say some people cannot be saved. And every time he came up with some other ridiculous, the ish guy theory of thought and I forgot what was the main one, I don't know why this is escaping me. And he's just kind of like presenting facts with this other topic and it didn't matter. I was like, the greats truly is a war on intellectualism. And so I'm gonna say this, and I know many of you are going to disagree with me.

And I stand 10 toes down on this. A lot of people say, go tell them to go get a trade. And I say, I don't care if you get a trade, you still need to go get your education. There's so much that goes into getting an education and it doesn't mean you're less valuable if you have a trade or anything like that. So for those of you who are in your feelings, I need you to get outta your feelings. What I'm saying is when you go get your education, you are exposed to so much. You are exposed to so much. And how a lot of these disciplines are so interconnected, the networking, the everything, there's a lot that goes into it.

And I keep telling people, there's a reason why you need to take your hin parts to school. Because at the end of the day, as valuable as the trades are, number one, typically, and I'm not saying this is all the time, but typically the greats a ceiling, okay? There is a ceiling in which you will reach and everyone's say, oh, well you can start your own business. You absolutely can start your own own business. But most people don't. And I get tired of people using that as like the litmus test. Like, oh, well you could start a business. Well, my little homie started his or his business.

I'm like, but everybody's not your homie. The fact of the matter is not everybody's starting businesses. Number two, a lot of times, many times when you're in a trade And they, they're so valuable and it's so needed and so necessary. But then as technology evolves, well then sometimes you can get, you know, displaced from that particular skillset. Whereas when you have your education, it's, it's like the connections. You, there's a way like you start to understand processes and methodologies and understanding that all of this stuff is connected.

There's so much I can get into and I always look at what the wealthy people are doing. They're not sending their kids to the trades. They're sending their kids to get educated because there's doors and access to things that you just generally speaking are not gonna get by going to the trades. Trades are very valuable, but we need the trades. What I'm saying is, black people who look, I know people who look like me. You need to get your education. So when I see these men up there on these podcasts and several podcasts, which is why I stopped like paying attention to this about all of them, it is clear we don't value education.

Like if you think about how people structure their, their points, right? They, they, they, they make these truth claims And they can't really back them up. It ends up being some sort of ad hominem attack And they start arguing a straw man point. And I'm like, that's not even what your original argument was. Which is why I don't engage. Like, I just like when people start yammering about stuff, I'm like, not everybody can be saved. You got, I'm just saying, so to sit to see this man sitting up there, and I'm only talking about the clips that I've seen. I've seen some extended clips up there on this podcast trying to dedicate mental cycles to a bunch of dinglings who don't deserve it.

At this point. I was like, they can't be saved. This is why I say the men who look like me are too busy going out there creating podcasts instead of creating real businesses, getting real education, sharing real financial acumen, et cetera. They're getting up there on these couches talking about dumb stuff, arguing if the earth is flat and having gender war conversations with themselves. It is the most anti-intellectual and it's like proliferating across the entire internet space, the internet.

And so that's why I always say, please go to school. Because when you look back on some of these conversations, you would be like, oh, totally cringe-worthy suffering from secondhand embarrassment. I don't understand why we have men who look like us almost advocating just go get a trade. Or, I'm not saying that's what they did, but when I hear these conversations in real life now they advocate things like, go get a trade or go do this and go do that. They don't advocate extensive education.

So then they think because they read a couple of books, that means that they're educated. And I'm like, that's not to say that you can't be a smart individual if you didn't go to college. That's, I mean, because I don't wanna, I wanna make sure I make that clear. 'cause there are people who will try to conflate that. I'm saying, go get educated. 'cause there's a difference between being smart and there's a difference between being educated and I'm like, you need to be educated. So if my children wanna get a train, I'm like, you get a train, but you're still gonna go to school, go to school, go to school.

If you go back and you watch many of these podcasts now I haven't paid attention to a lot of these blacked out weirdos in a long time. If you listen to like the premise of their, their, their truth claim or their argument, they're just bonkers. They're all over places. Like I'm telling you, didn't they start arguing things that aren't even an argument and it's real nuanced and slick and I'm just kinda like, and I don't even think they know what they're doing. And it's like, they like getting up there. They're more concerned about going viral, but they're also like, they don't realize that they have a responsibility and the things that come out of the mouth and the things that they're saying, especially since you've got men who look like me, young men who are going through it, And they, they're easily persuaded right now 'cause they're young.

It's just kind of like if you go overseas and if you have somebody who's, who's in a war torn country, they say you can give anybody a cause, right? You start feeding them, telling 'em that their family and stuff like that. Yeah, it happens here in the states. All you gotta do is find somebody who's in an austere environment and you, you give them a sense of family by, by being in a gang or something like that. And you teach them what you want them to know, they're easily brainwashed. It's very simple to do. So when you look at a group of men who are clearly on a struggle bus right now, don't know their worth, and you start feeding them this, this craziness, this kind of shenanigans, And they all co-sign each other.

They're get into these weirdo echo chambers. It's just kind of gross. And then you wonder why they continue to perform the poor. They, sorry about that. They tend to perform in the poorest. They perform the poorest in every category. Homeowners, homeownership, education, earning salary. My son keeps calling me all kinds of things.

They continue to perform the lowest. And, and what's happening is we don't value education. We don't value intelligence. We value the culture. And I'm not saying we shouldn't value the culture. We value getting up there, putting up this, this harmful music, shaking our hind parks. We value dribbling and throwing balls. Nothing wrong with being an athlete by the way. We value those things. And then when we want to talk about other serious things such as the impact of economics change or, or when we have these laws and policies put in place, stuff like that, we don't value these learned individuals will go find the athlete.

We'll go find somebody who shanks their hind parks. We'll get an ice cube, no offense to ice cube, but we've got scholars and people who study economic systems and they're like, okay, this is how we need to change. We need to educate here. We need to prop this up. We need to dismantle this. Right? No, we don't want those people. We want somebody who's gonna sit there and make us feel good and then we put 'em on podcasts. We don't want people who have studied systems and keep in mind, like I said, social systems and economic systems and financial systems, environmental systems, they, they all are interconnected and people aren't getting it.

But instead, you'll get a whole bunch of ding doms that'll get up there on these podcasts and argue with someone about the earth being flat. It's like, this is why I don't dedicate mental cycles to stuff like that. So when I think about Dr. Lamont Hill, clearly he was doing the Lord's work. I think he, he was trying because he's like, you know what? I'm going to dedicate these mental cycles to try to steer the conversation into something a little bit more meaningful.

I don't know how successful he was. I do know all it did it, it highlighted just how, how empty the intellectual conversations we are having in our community. At least that is being put out on social media. That's what I'm seeing. It's really just a cluster. And I'm trying not to cuss, 'cause this is a family channel, but I'm like, it's a cluster, it is a hot mess. Anyway, so I told y'all before all y'all need to get off of these podcasts 'cause all these men are doing, and you know, I want my people, but I'm like, all they is create these dumb podcasts.

They get out there and they're just yammering on about, I don't know why I can't bring up this situation. I see you CBR that you posted something, but it's not letting me, oh Lord, what, what is happening right now? I, no. Oh gosh. Says it won't let me. It says share my referral link. No, I don't know. Okay. Oh Lord, what is happening? Okay, I think I got it. He said the earth is flat.

I fell off the edge the other day. You know, I see now you just drove me. What's up? So I don't even know if it posted to the screen. I'm sorry. I don't know what's going on with, I don't know if they updated this. This is the whole situation. What I will say is this, it is so embarrassing seeing a group of dudes get up there, argue some of the dumbest topics, and I forgot what the main one they were talking about, but the only thing that's sticking out now is like the earth is flat thing. And I was like, this is what we're disgusting.

And the guy was doubling down on it. He was in his feelings. It got really emotional. And this is the kind of stuff that men will say, like, women are just so emotional. I'm like, yeah, he was so emotional, he could not even like communicate effectively. I was like, what is happening right now? Like, like this is like a man child. It was like he was throwing a total temper tantrum. I'm like, this is manhood. This isn't leadership at all. Nevertheless, I think we need to stop getting out here on these ding dumb podcasts.

A whole bunch of dudes getting together, co-signing crazy talk, And they think they sound intelligent. You know, I read a book, it was called A Cat in the Hat. And now I know about cats. It's no different than those women who went up in space for 11 minutes and now they're claiming to be astronauts. Because if that's the case, like I said in something else, I don't know where, where I was said it, I cut my steak all the time with a knife and a for, does that mean I have surgeons hands? I mean, give me a break.

But anyway, so we've got men going up on these panels, embarrassing themselves, embarrassing themselves. It was, it's, it was like, oh my gosh. Like true secondhand embarrassment by the way. I was like, this is why I don't wash these things, because you know, I'm stupider for it. I'm like, I literally dedicated mental cycles to watching some of these clips. I was like, oh my goodness, this, this is the best we have to offer. This is, this is the best, the communit to offer. By the way, I don't, I don't know.

My skin is looking good today. Yes. Sorry, it's myself. So needless to say I am, I'm just like, please go to school. People are gonna tell you to go get a trade. I have, I don't see there any being anything wrong with getting a trade. And you still need to go to school. You need, listen to me, I, if you don't get anything else out of this conversation, I want you to listen to me. The dreams are freaking awesome. They are awesome.

But today, the world we live in today, you need to understand systems. You need to understand, take some classes, I don't know, social systems and economic systems. Financial, well, financial, economic, financial or economic systems, educational systems. The, the education system along the way is done at a whole other level. You know, they're all related technology, they are related, understanding methodologies and processes and stuff like that.

Understanding different ways of solving problems. There are people who've never left their, their, their, their area, their, their county, their borough, their state, New York City. And they think the world sits right there. And they don't even understand. There's so many ways of solving problems. When you see what happens when you lead and understanding how this world works, it's so connected, but people are so myopic in their point of view And they have no idea. And it's one of those things until you like rip the bandaid off and you are exposed, you're like, oh my gosh, I thought this was the world.

When the world is this, please go to school. And I I, I feel like this, I don't think you need education to do most jobs. I believe you need education. You need education. That's what it's for. Go to school, learn something, get exposed, get a co-op, leave the country, do something. But this going up on these podcasts, yes, I'm on a rant. I'm on a, I'm, I'm on a soapbox today.

I was like, I cannot believe this is what we, this is the best we have to offer. That's what we had to offer. And that's what's going viral between that and Shannon Shock and Don, don't get me wrong, I, I felt bad when people were being haters, but now his current behavior is a whole other issue that that's something else. But that's what we have to offer. Now, club Shehe and, and, and Chad Ochocinco as funny as he is, but you know, they're like the male version of pick mes. You know, Hey, this is a total sidebar, completely unrelated.

I just wanna say this. Why is it that every time we see men with those strong African features, dark skinned men with strong African features, I feel like they have the worst self esteem the way Shannon Sharp is behaving out in these streets. But I don't wanna get on that only because I feel like that's for men who look like him. They have to check that. It's not for the women. It's none of my business. Men need to check the men and women need to check the women.

I mean, I have an opinion on it, but men are doing a good job of checking them on, on the behavior. They're, they're, they're doing their best. They could do more. But that's for men, men need to check that. That's just a sidebar. But anyway, everybody go to school, at least back in the day, we had one, two, they four, five to seven, eight. Like, we were always teaching the kids. Now we're not teaching the kids. The kids are out here listening to that nonsense and, and getting caught up in conspiracy theories. And they won't go investigate and learn anything.

Learn about real journalism and about real science and research. Everyone thinks because they went on the internet, found a couple of facts to, to confirm their biases, right? To confirm their biases. They think they did research. I'm like, that's not research. I mean, we used that term loosely. Okay, now that I'm done being on my high horse, I should probably call my son. 'cause he was trying to call me and I sent him to voicemail. I, I wanted to finish this thought and that, that, that's all I got.

But yeah, y'all need to go ahead and stop following all these stupid podcast dudes and listening to that. You guys are following for the entertainment and you're sitting there promoting and co-signing that bad behavior, the bad, bad conversations. But then again, maybe it's because you don't know any better. Maybe you think that they're good conversations. I, I know I'm biased. Let's be clear. I'm totally biased, right? This is a good time to subscribe to my channel, by the way, because I'm amazing and everybody can practically do nothing wrong.

I, I know I'm biased, I know I'm biased, but I also, I just feel like most of these, these, these conversations that are being had out there so dumb and I'm like, y'all need to go, go to school. Stop telling people just to get a trade. The wealthy people aren't telling that to their kids. They're not. Go to school, learn something. Get educated about things so you can have real, you know, like discourse on things rooted in like real information and, and nuance.

You can bring into personal experiences too. But like, you can, you can have a real conversation based off of like a breadth of experience and, and study. And study. Geez, stop embarrassing us out here in the streets. All right, I'm hanging up now. Have a good one. Subscribe to my channel and send it to all your friends and aunties and then go watch every video and then get off of everybody else's podcast and watch only mine 'cause I'm a hypocrite.
